Spinach (Ford Hook Giant)
Ford Hook Giant is one of the most popular spinach varieties for good reason — its large, crinkled leaves are packed with flavour and nutrients, and it's incredibly productive even in South African heat.
Growing tips:
- Grows best in cool to mild weather but tolerates some heat
- Full sun to partial shade
- Water consistently for tender, non-bitter leaves
- Ready to harvest in 40–50 days
- Great for continuous harvesting — pick outer leaves and the plant keeps producing
Perfect for home cooks, market gardeners, and health-conscious growers.
